When Brain Candy's simultaneous turn-based strategy game Fray was first released, the devs knew that the game was somewhat broken. But in a tale that is probably familiar to lots of indie developers, the money just wasn't there to finish what they intended to do with the game. The harsh reaction to the release that had a lot of potential is not ignored by the studio. Brain Candy has just released Fray: Reloaded Edition and will be updating everyone for free to the new content and giving away extra keys to gift to a friend to owners of Fray.
The new features in Fray: Reloaded Edition were developed with the help of community feedback. They include solo training maps, a completely overhauled UI, new options for creating games, a complete weapons and class rebalancing, and improved graphics. There's also now a penalty for quitting matches in progress. A leaderboard with an ELO system has also been added.
How well this will play out is now up to the community. Fray: Reloaded Edition is available on Steam here.
