New rumors have surfaced about a release window for EA's Command & Conquer, as well as details about the game's planned retail launch and focus of the service.
According to The Game Fanatics, which originated the story, a source mentions that there could be a soft launch in Q1, (which ends in March) for the game. The game is expected to be a service, if you'll remember, so there's a long-term plan in place for the game, even if some players get access beginning in the spring. You can read the full speculation at the source, but there are some interesting bits coming out of the report.
Collector's Editions should follow in retail by fall, with "CLC - continuous live content". The service is expected to be more European centric due to some of the top countries for C&C in the current market. With the C&C brand turned into a service, it does make sense to serve your biggest audience.
There's also speculation on pricing and possible CE content. s with any of these rumors, nothing has yet been confirmed nor announced by EA, but we're curious. The game wasn't expected so soon.
