Dungeon Defenders II has yet another announced hero today, with Trendy Entertainment also letting more players into the closed beta for the game. Today's reveal is The Rider.
The Rider's lore states that he was raised near the Gnomish kingdom, but looked upon as a pest by the Gnomes themselves. The Rider, known for "borrowing" things instead of coming into his own, wound up borowing a creature known as a Frutimal he named YamYam, and the rest is history.
The Rider and YamYam, his mount, work together. Abilities include TRample, where the Rider tosses a nibble onto the ground and YamYam dashes for it, damaging enemies in its path. Edibola involves the Roder swinging a bola made of treats at an enemy, damaging and slowing. Basic attacks landed on the affected target cause more damage and a brief stun. Nuzzle knocks back and slows a target. And his ultimate, Satiated Appetite, returns a portion of The Rider's HP as attack damage when this is leveled up. When he activates it, he gets HP regeneration for 15 seconds.
His Hero Spell is Stride, which increases movement speed +100 if you don't take any damage for six seconds and ends once you do take damage.
The MOBA ("PvP") mode for Dungeon Defenders II is in closed beta now, with release aimed for the end of the year.
